Frequently Asked Questions at Your Wedding DJ (FAQS)

How long does the DJ play for?

The standard package includes a DJ for a 5 hour period. If you require A DJ for longer, this can be arranged. If you require a DJ for less than 5 hours the charge will be based upon an hourly rate.

What music does Your wedding DJ have on offer?

We have a mix of music ranging from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s til now. We have all your party favourites, love songs, rock classics, rnb hits and dance music.

Can we pre select songs and make requests on the night?

Yes, once you have booked with us we will send out a booking form which enables you to fill in your requests and choose from our music selection.

What attire does the DJ come in?

The DJ’s will dress in appropriate attire for the wedding . For example, suit and tie

Does the DJ MC as well as play music?

The DJ’s are available to perform basic MC duties, such as communicate basic announcements, messages and shout out’s, however if you require more than this you will need to speak to us about organizing a professional MC on the night

How far in advance do we have to book a DJ?

This depends on availability. The more notice we have the better, however if you require a DJ at short notice please feel free to contact us and we will try our best to look after you.

How do we pay Your wedding DJ?

A Non refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking. You can pay the deposit via the bank details listed on the booking form, or by cheque or cash. Remainder of payment is required within seven days of your wedding

Can we extend our time on the night?

Yes, all DJ’s are available to play overtime . The rate is on an hourly basis and will need to be paid to the DJ on the night before the overtime begins.

Can we supply our own music to the DJ?

Yes, if you have your own CD’s which you would like to use, please hand these to the DJ. Please specify before the wedding day if own music is on ipod, cd or mp3.

Can you supply extra equipment and bigger packages if needed?

Yes, we can provide more lighting, disco balls, bigger sound systems, spotlights. We have access to pretty much any type of equipment you need. If you have special requirements please contact us.

Can you do more than one booking per night?

Yes, Having over 30 DJs and MC’s it allows us to do more than one wedding per night.

Do you offer a written contract?

Yes: For the peace of mind of our clients we offer a signed booking agreement guaranteeing our services as agreed.

When will you set up your equipment?

Our Dj’s will be set up one hour prior to function commencing and will have music playing when your guests arrive.

Do I have to supply a meal for the dj?

Yes – a staff meal will be required for the DJ.
